Welcome!

I have created this page as a sort of landing page for various other sites where I am known as Blue_Cat or Blue_cat_online (where the former was already taken). Currently this is a work in progress, so come back and witness it change over time.

Who am I and why this holding pattern website?

I am a 40mumble years old female living in the UK who doesn’t use her real name online. I use multiple blogging and micro-blogging websites and wanted a place to tie them together. Part of the reason is that I am currently pretty addicted to twitter, and some of the advice given out to twit’s (or should that be tweeps?). One of those bits of advice was to create a landing page, where people you follow can get some sense of who you are, and whether you are real.

Er, I think I am!

So, welcome, here are links (in the side bar) to various sites I use / post on and lets hope I don’t bore everyone silly.  If I ever work out widget embeding you may be subject to a few of those too.

Topics that I may go on about:

  • Personal stuff ~ so when I have my coffee, what I eat for lunch, chat’s with mates,  the usual narcissistic boring stuff.
  • News & views ~ news stories and links that have caught my eye one way or other
  • Adoption ~ I am an adult adoptee, born in Australia but lived in Hong Kong, Belgium and now the UK.
  • Weird stuff ~ I love weird news, oddly enough sites and so on. I post about these regularly!
  • Tolerance ~ encompasses all sorts of things, but I can’t effectively rant on twitter!
  • Geeky stuff ~ I am an end user and enjoyer of all sorts of tech, but couldn’t tell you how it worked.
  • Random ~ Anything else that interest me, catches my eye or makes me go Hmmmm!
  • My Vox crossposts to twitter, but none of the others.

  1. Hi blue_cat_online,

It’s @jeanneendo from twitter. My friend who is infertile and has endometriosis (the cause of her infertility) is in the foster-to-adopt process now.

She blogs extensively about the process on her blog, Yaya Stuff. She is an amazing women helping hundreds of other infertile patients with her blog and her social network called Mommy Wannabe Club.

She and her husband are extremely excited about adopting a child.
